Prevention Is Part of Our Work
We believe the best way to reduce domestic violence in our community is to start early. Our school workshops give young people the knowledge and language to understand what healthy relationships look like, recognise when something is wrong, and know how to get help.
These programmes run September through June in Grande Cache schools, for students in grades 1 through 12.
Teen Dating Violence Prevention programming is a separate standalone programme available year-round. It is especially promoted during February (Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month) and is designed for teens roughly ages 13 to 19.
School Workshops: Grades 1 to 12
We deliver 11 different workshop programmes across all grade levels. Each workshop is age-appropriate and curriculum-connected. Topics across the programme series include friendship, emotional regulation, empathy, bullying prevention, and healthy relationships.
